Church Burnings in the 1990's
-Between 1995 and 1996, 145 African American churches were burned, mostly in the south. Racism and hatred played a significant role in these morbid acts
-Churches cement moral and ethical values and are very important in many black communities. Destroying them signified the huge disrespect towards black culture and tradition.
